Halloween Movie Night

Sophie & Matt had a Halloween Movie night at their place last night. Everyone was required to bring goodies. Everything was soooo yummy. I have a happy belly-ache :)

Sophie's snack table - How festive!!!

Jenny's skull punch

Sophie made green cupcakes with Halloween sprinkles

There were so many yummy snacks - deviled egg eyeballs, brain jello, skull punch, cupcakes, google-eyed cheese ball, hummus dip, lots of cheese dishes(!) and more.

I made witches fingers - chocolate covered pretzel rods

and Red velvet cake pops covered in white chocolate

I also made Halloween cupcakes - devil food cake with chocolate frosting, oreo dirt and gummy worms and body parts.

The cake pops were surprisingly simple to make. The most time consuming part was covering the pops and decorating.

First you bake a cake (any flavor) as directed. After the cake is cooled you crumble the cake into a large bowl then add 1/2 tub (or a full tub) of your choice of frosting into crumbled cake.
I used red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting.

Roll pieces of the cake mixture into balls and place on a tray lined with wax paper.
Place tray in the freezer for about 15 mins to firm up.

Next you'll want to melt down your white chocolate.
Take your lollipop sticks and dip it in a little melted chocolate then immediately stick it into your cake balls (about half way through).
Then take your cake stick and coat it in the melted chocolate.
Shake off any excess chocolate then place on a sheet of wax paper to harden.

After your cake pops have set you can paint on the red veins in the eyes.
Melt down some green chocolate and squeeze them in the center of the eye, after the chocolate has dried you can paint the center black for the pupil.

NOW YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SCARY EYEBALLS!

Summer's over

Sophie and I took our cousin to Lazy 5 this weekend.

Sophie wears tank, belt and skirt from Anthropologie
and is carrying this seasons newest accessory - a baby goat

Linen tee from J. Crew, shorts by Chris and Jamie, bag and shoes from leather shop in Beijing

I love these color and shading of these shoes.

It was hot, not blistering hot, but we were sweating a good bit.
The next day it was overcast and 59 degrees. I loved it!
I can not wait for it to be officially Fall. I need to start my Fall wish list.

Stuff by Sophie

Yesterday I hung out with my sister at the All Arts Market while she sold her adorable handmade soaps and hand stitched stuffies! Her booth was definitely the cutest one there, but it stormed like CRAZY while we were there so it kinda killed the traffic. If you missed it, or you can get yours HERE!
This is the sign I made for her booth

Here is Sophie at her booth

She has all these great colorful goats milk soaps that are in the cutest shapes!
And they're only $5!
My favorite is the Venus fertility goddess and the Lucy Cat

These are a few of my favorite stuffies...so cute!
This is Damali, but we call him GaGa

Aimon is the most handsome

And I like Arlett because he's sad :(

I had a little stand of earrings for sale too :P

I finally got to wear my Rodarte for Target dress
and my Zac Posen for Target belt

Soaps by Sophie

Matt stopped by tonight to drop off a care package of soaps from my sissy.

She has been making a bunch of super cute soaps lately for her etsy: Stuff By Sophie and most recently for the All Arts Market that happens about once a month in NoDa.

All her soaps are super adorable and come in yummy scents like: vanilla oak, vanilla blossom, sandalwood, black tea, orchid, eucalyptus mint and blossom woods.

My favorite is the Venus Fertility Goddess in Exotic Tuberose
They are ONLY $5 each! and are made from creamy goats milk. Why GOAT'S MILK??? You ask. Creamy goats milk is a natural soap that smooths and moisturizes your skin. Thats why!
