Fall boot shopping

I've gotten it stuck in my head that I really want to buy some more flat ankle boots for Fall.  I've been searching and searching and can not find the perfect boot (short enough to make my legs look longer, but not too short where they are not considered boots, flat, and edgy in a tough way but not too masculine).

So the other night I am browsing through Piperlime and come across these two gems.

 Went home to Charlotte for the Fourth.

Spent lots of time with the girls and my family.

It was super chill and fun.

  

 This weekend really made me miss Charlotte...A LOT!

First beach trip of 2012 - Wilmington

My sissy finally came to visit me in my town.  We decided to ditch this place and head to Wilmington to get some sun.

To get us in the mood we got our beach toes on and loaded up the car with snacks.

After we got kicked off of Wrightsville Beach for bringing the baby we ended up at Carolina Beach which ended up being WAY better.

This was baby's first time at the beach.  She had no idea what was going on.

It was so nice and peaceful.  We sprawl out without someone being right next to us.

There was a crazy rainbow that encircled the entire sun.

It ended up raining 90% of the time so we mainly stuffed our faces with lots of seafood.

I can't wait to bring little lady back to the beach :)

REFUSED in NYC

Two weeks ago I flew to New York to see one of my favorite bands play a reunion show at Terminal 5.

I put myself on a budget since I am still trying to furnish my new place,
but I couldn't go home without a present for my precious baby

It's been a while since my last update.

I am in Chapel Hill now. Been here for a little over 2 weeks and still trying to get settled.

Work is going well. Still trying to get adjusted to such a big store. My only complaint is that there are so many people to over see that I feel like I am just a baby-sitting for 8-10 hours a day.

The mall is really nice though. Lots of great stores...I might be in trouble.

It has an indoor and outdoor shopping area.
It reminds me of shopping in Charleston or Florida.

Yesterday was my first real day off at home to clean and unpack.
I also took Ponyo for her first vet visit and she got so many compliments! The receptionist even said she was the cutest thing to come into the office that day.
She has grown so much since I've had her! That little fatty is 5.6 lbs now!

Look how cute & tiny she looked on her new lounge chair only 3 weeks ago.

Now her fat butt hangs off the side (lol)

She's still the light of my life so I will over look all the biting and chewing up of my stuff.
