Hand In Glove

I started some new sketches for Hand In Glove.

My mother and I started this clothing line back in 2007/2008.
It all started with our reconstructed clothing line called Recycle I.T. which evolved quickly to Hand in Glove.
We received really good feedback and had positive response to the clothing, but due to financial issues we had to take a little hiatus after the 2009 collection.

I've decided that I need to take my time and come up with some solid sketches before turning them into actual sample pieces...why rush?

Currently the new sketches have a more elevated feel to them. More sophisticated with clean silhouettes, but have a dark almost Gothic feel to it. Some of the items are very animated, almost costume-like.

These are some past Hand In Glove images:

Taking it back --- Our first Hand in Glove production. The tie-dye wrap skirt.

An incomplete sketch of our "Bulb Skirt" from 2008.

Where it all started...Recycle I.T.

One of our first reconstructed creations, the High-waisted tuxedo short (2007).

Really wanting these Burberry Prorsum Creeper Wedges right now, but for $950 I'll have to pass.

Update: Look-a-like

The Roder from Aldo is fairly similar and sells for only $130

Which ones should I get????

Summer's over

Sophie and I took our cousin to Lazy 5 this weekend.

Sophie wears tank, belt and skirt from Anthropologie
and is carrying this seasons newest accessory - a baby goat

Linen tee from J. Crew, shorts by Chris and Jamie, bag and shoes from leather shop in Beijing

I love these color and shading of these shoes.

It was hot, not blistering hot, but we were sweating a good bit.
The next day it was overcast and 59 degrees. I loved it!
I can not wait for it to be officially Fall. I need to start my Fall wish list.

Stuff by Sophie

Yesterday I hung out with my sister at the All Arts Market while she sold her adorable handmade soaps and hand stitched stuffies! Her booth was definitely the cutest one there, but it stormed like CRAZY while we were there so it kinda killed the traffic. If you missed it, or you can get yours HERE!
This is the sign I made for her booth

Here is Sophie at her booth

She has all these great colorful goats milk soaps that are in the cutest shapes!
And they're only $5!
My favorite is the Venus fertility goddess and the Lucy Cat

These are a few of my favorite stuffies...so cute!
This is Damali, but we call him GaGa

Aimon is the most handsome

And I like Arlett because he's sad :(

I had a little stand of earrings for sale too :P

I finally got to wear my Rodarte for Target dress
and my Zac Posen for Target belt
